Road marking was a natural extension for the Group to compliment road and bridge maintenance services. When an opportunity was presented by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure to enter this niche market, the company did not hesitate to create Mainroad Road Marking: now a major player in the high precision marking of
road lines throughout British Columbia. Mainroad Road Marking head office is located in Port Kells (Langley) and their quality management system is ISO 9001:2000 registered. Due to weather patterns and their subsequent effects on the
road surface, our road marking crews operate at full speed between March and October.
In 2004, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure awarded Mainroad Road Marking a South Coast contract to provide road marking services in 10 highway maintenance contract areas of BC. These areas extend from the US border in the south, to Cache Creek in the north, and from Vancouver Island, including the Sunshine Coast and Gulf Islands in the west, to Merritt in the east. All numbered highways and many major connector roadways are included. In 2008, Mainroad Road Marking was successful in securing 3 major contracts, extending the geographic boundaries to include the Okanagan, Vancouver Island, and the Lower Mainland.
All Mainroad
road marking equipment has been retro-fitted to meet the federal government regulatory body, Transport Canada, guidelines and environmental standards.
As you can see, Mainroad road marking can be found all over BC-working alongside many of their Maintenance crew counterparts in the Lower Mainland, Howe Sound, and South Island.
