Typical Applications of Vinyl Silicone Oils

Primarily consisting of vinyl-terminated polydimethylsiloxane (Vi-PDMS) and vinyl-terminated polymethylvinylsiloxane (Vi-PMVS), products with varying viscosities and vinyl content can be provided as required. Vinyl silicone oils can be categorized into: end-functional vinyl silicone oils and high-vinyl silicone oils. They serve as primary raw materials for addition-cured liquid silicone rubber (LSR), silicone gels, etc.; as well as modifiers for compounding, plastic additives, reinforcing materials, and more.

1. Serves as the base material for producing high-temperature vulcanized silicone rubber (HTV). It is compounded with crosslinking agents, reinforcing agents, colorants, structure control agents, and anti-aging agents to prepare HTV raw rubber.
2. Used in liquid silicone rubber production as the primary material for injection and thermoforming silicone rubber.
3. Reacts with polyurethane, acrylic, and other organic materials to create new materials with superior properties (weather resistance, aging resistance, UV resistance, enhanced toughness, etc.). As a coating, it serves as a key raw material for producing various coatings and modified silicone oils.
Vinyl-terminated silicone oil
Applications:
A poly(dimethylsiloxane) with vinyl-terminated ends. Characterized by stable product quality and low volatile content, it serves as a primary raw material for addition-cured liquid silicone rubber, silicone encapsulants, silicone gels, and as a modifier for compounding.
High Vinyl Silicone Oil
Applications:
A poly(dimethylsiloxane) with vinyl-terminated or methyl-terminated ends and vinyl groups in the backbone. It offers stable quality, low volatile content, non-yellowing, and non-crosslinking properties. It serves as a primary raw material for addition-cured liquid silicone rubber, silicone encapsulants, and silicone gels; a modifier for compounding rubber; and a plastic additive.
Usage: As a diluent: 10%–20% As a modifier: 5%–10% For silicone rubber base compounds: 50%–100% Add directly or incorporate using high-speed or powerful mixing equipment to ensure uniform dispersion.
This product is a chemically reactive material. Impurities (especially catalysts) must not be introduced during storage or transportation. When using or blending, verify that other materials will not trigger chemical reactions to prevent degradation.
