Working Guidelines
In a counterflow cooling tower, air and water flow in opposite directions. The air first enters the open area below the PVC filling medium and then rises vertically. At the top of the tower there is a pressurized nozzle from which the water jet flows through the PVC filler in the opposite direction to the air flow. In general, counterflow cooling towers have a smaller footprint than crossflow cooling towers, thus saving space. In addition, counterflow cooling towers are less likely to freeze in cold weather.

Water Supply System

Counterflow cooling towers distribute water through a gravity flow distribution or pressurized sprinkler system into the PVC fill media, over which hot water basins are installed at the top of the cooling tower. A series of nozzles in each hot water basin distributes the water evenly over the PVC fill media.

Fans

The fan is centrifugal, and the axial fan system requires only about half the motor horsepower of a centrifugal fan system of the same class, resulting in significant energy savings. The fan is made of aluminum alloy with a wide twisted blade design for high airflow and low noise operation.

Filling medium

Low wind resistance suspended PVC filling medium, high heat exchange efficiency, saving electricity.
