AGAR FOR COSMETIC

As one of the three principal seaweeds colloids( agar, carrageenan and alginate), agar is extracted from red algae chemicals, bioengineering and other industries with its unique gelation and gel stabilization. With its advantage of quick-dissolveing at low heat, agar has more applications than regular agar.
The agar molecule is mainlu formed by agarose(galactosyl as its frame work) and agaropectin. Agarose is an ninionic poliaccharide without alkanolamide sulfate and the gel-forming part. Agaroprctin is a complex polysaccharide with alkanolamide and pyruvic acid group.
Regular agar can not dissolve in cold water or organic solvents. Hardly dissolve completely without 10-15 minutes boiling and can slowly dissolve in hot water. Its solution is cloudy and nontransparent, which limits its aplications in food industry. Our exclusively produced instant agar can dissolve completely within 5-7 minutes in 55-65 degree centigrade water, which can improve the quality and grade of the foods.
Agar has been classified as GRAS(Generally Recognized As Safe) by the United States of America Food and Drug Administration. The ADI( Acceptable Daily Intake) of agar has been listed in A1 group by JECFA( The Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on Food Additive), that meas no limit on daily intake of agar.
