Dimer Acid is a kind of thicky transparent dicarboxylic aid which can improve the flexibility, elasticity and hydrophobic property of all kinds of polymer.. It is mostly used in producing polyamide resin and polyester. It is polymerized by unsaturated C18 fatty acid. Dimer acid is usually polymerized by octadecadienoic acid under the catalytic polymerization and generally has the six-carbon structure. At high temperature, hydroxide radical can occur all kinds of reactions, and the common one is react with amine to yield acid amide. Plant dimer fatty acid is called dimer acid for short which is made under the mutual polymerization among the molecules of octadecadienoic acid.
Properties: Yellowish oleosus transparent liquid, contains traces of monomer acid and a small quantity of octadecadienoic acid, soluble with a majority of organic solvent, insoluble in water, has good stability, poisonless, non-volatile, high flash point and burning point, doesn’t freeze at low temperature, high viscosity and excellent adhesive capacity.　　
Use: It is mainly used to produce alkyd resin, polyamide resin, printing ink, coating, rust inhibitor, and plasticiser, also can be used as main raw material of bond, textile and detergent, or surface active agent as lubricant, anti-rust oil, or food additive, etc.
Packaging: packed in plastic drum or PP-R metal pail, net weight 190kg/drum
